American Legion Members,

 

All are invited to the final home football  game of the Dripping Springs HS, Friday Nov 1^st, where for the last few years we've had a small tailgate party with the Boy Scouts who have been active Color Guard members this football season, then post colors with the Scouts before the game begins.

 

Please RSVP/email me before Thursday so as we can get a  head count for those attending at mark.kendzora@gmail.com or call me at 512-673-3213

The Tailgate Event written directions are:

 

·         Off of State Highway 290, just west of Tractor Supply, East of the Middle School turn South on Peabody Place

·         Go 100 yds, and turn right towards the Middle School/Football Field and park either in the lot on your right or in the field on your left.

·         We will be in a blue Tahoe in the field on the left.

November 7th Meeting - VFW & American Legion

We will have a joint meeting of AMerican Legion post 290 and VFW Post 2933, Thursday November 7, 2013 at 7pm.

We will discuss upcoming Veterans Day activities.

Vets in the Classroom 2013

To All our Veterans:  I just received word from Ms. Marr at DSMS that the "Veterans in the Classroom" program will be on Wednesday, November 6.  This program will be from about 8:00 AM until about 3 or 4 PM.  The school will have lunch for us and snacks, drinks, coffee in the morning.  Three classrooms of sixth grade social studies students will be the audience.  Please put this date on your calendar now and reserve it.  More info will follow.

 

We will need about 15 veterans to participate.  We need, if possible, three veterans each from the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and the Coast Guard.  If you can participate in this program please send me an e-mail (gphale@verizon.net) as soon as possible and I will start making a list of volunteers.  Thank you for doing this.  It is a great program.  Gary
