National Drug Take Back Week
National Drug Take Back Week is October 24-28, 2011. During that week, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the VA Police will offer a collection site outside the Spinal Cord Injury Entrance of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. This is an opportunity to dispose of any unused, unwanted, or expired prescription drugs, free with no questions asked. The goal is to prevent these medications from falling into the hands of juveniles or criminals, or being flushed down toilets which harms our drinking water supply.
